I hope the vlip rollout is going well either way and that both Blippr and 12seconds see some good cross-traffic between sites :¬)

Now all we need is for cross-posting of written/vlip reviews to Amazon. I had a rather lengthy discussion about it with Phreadz creator 'Kosso' (recently partnered with 12seconds) last night: http://phreadz.com/p/1I65V8...

Re: blippr Partners with 12seconds

This is on the todo list. It was in initially, but we scrapped it at go-time because of security concerns (there was a privilege escalation issue that would allow potential unauthorized posting to 12seconds accounts). However, we're working with 12seconds to implement a security specification that will allow you to use your own account. As soon as that is ready on their end, we'll flip the switch and you'll be able to connect your blippr and 12seconds accounts, and any videos posted will then go to your own account.

If possible, we'll move videos from the blippr account to your account when you connect them, as well, but I won't promise that, since it would rely on additional work by 12seconds and I can't speak for whether they'd be willing to implement that or not.

Re: blippr Partners with 12seconds

I can understand why unregistered users of 12seconds can use the service so long as their videos go to the Blippr profile on 12seconds, but what about all us registered users? Can't you add to the connection section on Blippr.com so that my 12sec account is accredited with the reviews I make?

Re: blippr Partners with 12seconds

For what it's worth, you won't be required to have a 12seconds account to leave video blips. ;)

Re: blippr Partners with 12seconds

Yeah, I thought about that after writing the comment. Seesmic does get kinda long. I may have to sign up for a 12seconds account when I have a chance. Thanks for the quick reply!

Re: blippr Partners with 12seconds

We feel that the 12seconds technology aligns closely with what we're doing on blippr - it's short and sweet, always to the point, so you know that every time you click a vlip, you aren't going to be listening to someone ramble. Seesmic is great technology, but we felt that having time constraints in place would preserve both the ease of blipping and reading blips in the video format.

Re: blippr Partners with 12seconds

Just out of curiosity, why didn't you go with Seesmic? Disqus also has a Seesmic plugin.

Anyway, this looks like it will be very cool. Thanks!

Re: blippr Partners with 12seconds

Congrats to Team Blippr and to the folks at 12seconds and vlip integration will be fun for one and all.
